Recording with Google Meet

How to Record a Google Meeting

If a Google Meeting needs to be recorded, this is done after having joined the meeting. At the lower right-hand corner of the screen are three vertical dots that will open up a small menu. At the top of that menu is a "Record Meeting" option. Clicking that option will first open a new window which will enable you to ask for the consent of the other members of the meeting, and, upon receiving that consent, begin recording.

How to stop a Recording

Recording can be stopped by again clicking the three vertical dots and clicking the "Stop Recording" button. All recordings of Google meetings will be saved within the Google Drive of the person who created the meeting, and they will receive an email when the recording is available.

How to View Your Recording

Google Meeting Recordings will be saved in the Google Drive of whoever created the meeting, and you will receive an email with a link to the recording once it is ready. Once there you can download it and upload it to Canvas Studio.
