Teaching Continuity Guide

This guide is to help prepare faculty to teach remotely in the event the campus is closed or they are unable to come to campus.

What Needs to Move to Canvas?

Think through the remainder of your courses. Ask yourself:

  • What readings/resources will students need access to?
  • What lectures/activities would I do in class that needs to be put online?
  • What assignments remain?

Having a clear list of what is left for the remainder of the semester will help you organize content in Canvas and make sure students have access to everything they need to be successful online.

If it is helpful, use this template to organize your thoughts for each course.

Additionally, this planning document from Coastal Carolina University is useful in thinking through all considerations for teaching remotely quickly.
