Teaching Continuity Guide

This guide is to help prepare faculty to teach remotely in the event the campus is closed or they are unable to come to campus.

Organize Everything Under Modules

Modules are the best way to organize all course content in one place. Modules are like folders where you can link all course content within those folders. Most professors (and students) prefer weekly modules where students can find everything pertaining to that week in one place and in chronological order. Modules and items under each module will need to be published (green checkmark next to the item) in order for students to view.

Remote Teaching Module Templates

The Center for Instructional Design & Technology has prepared several module templates for you to bring into your course and customize.

Course Resources

This template will provide your students with some basic information about resources available to them.

Weekly Content

Another is for preparing content and activities for a week. This template comes in two versions: one for Monday-Wednesday-Friday courses, and another for Tuesday-Thursday courses. Instructors who teach classes that meet one night a week may use the Tuesday-Thursday template.
