This guide provides an overview of resources and services available through NNU's John E. Riley Library. Information related to your specific subject area, program, and courses is available through the linked research guides below. The NNU librarians are here to assist you along the research journey! Please feel free to contact us!
You can access the NNU John E. Library's website in a variety of ways. The most direct is through either the NNU Portal or your Canvas course. In the portal there is a link to the library directly below the link to Canvas. In your Canvas course there is a Library Resources link in the left navigation. Take a few minutes to watch the library website introduction video to familarize yourself with the resources and services available. This will display a subject-specific research guide, access to the librarians's appointment calendars, and access to the chat feature. If the chat is offline, you can submit a research ticket. The chat is staffed by live people, not a bot.
Research guides are a good way to find out what resources are available through the NNU Library that support your program. Always feel free to contact a librarian if you need assistance navigating a resource, refining search strategies, or knowing how to access a resource.
NOTE: If you find a resource when browsing the open web and it asks you to pay a fee to access the full article, try checking the NNU LIbrary first to see if is already available through one of the resources or it can be obtained through interlibrary loan for free. There's no reason to pay to access content as long as you're a student at NNU!
