The Center for Instructional Design and Technology supports a video-recording studio for use by NNU students and employees. IDT can provide editing and closed captioning for academic videos. Select one of the pages linked at left for more details.
What the Self-Service Studio Includes
A small room with a camera, microphone, lighting, several backdrops (including a green screen), a few props, a table, a chair, and a computer.


When the Studio is Available
The studio is available by appointment on the following schedule:
Mondays-Thursdays: 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Fridays: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturdays: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sundays: 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Campus Holidays: Closed
Where the Studio is Located
On the south side of the main floor of the Leah Peterson Learning Commons, in Room 112

Why You Might Use the Studio
- Explain a topic with a personal touch.
- Record a video introduction for an online class.
- Make a presentation for class.
How You Can Use the Studio
- IMPORTANT: Bring a flash drive with you to save your recording.
- At your confirmed time slot, ask a Service Desk TA in the Learning Commons to unlock the room for you.
- When you are finished, take your flash drive and let the TA know you are done.
- Unless your video is for personal use, we highly recommend that you allow the Center for Instructional Design & Technology to add closed captions. IDT can also edit your video created for academic purposes.
