NNU General Education Course Assessment

This page is designed to help you set up your General Education course with the necessary elements in our Learning Management System (LMS) so that you may successfully assess student mastery of the stated GE Outcome for your course.

Follow these Steps for Assessing ALL General Education Courses

Before the Class

• Identify the assignment/assessment that meets the course's GE Outcome(s).
• Review the grading rubric that is used to assess the GE Outcome assignment.
• Ensure the General Education Outcome is listed in your syllabus.

Video Instructions

During the Class

• Attach the GE rubric to your assignment/assessment.
• Have students submit the assignment/assessment for grading in Canvas.
• Grade the assignment.
• Assign a GE Outcome score to the assessment.
